No. 27 Pocket Journal

“I am getting married this year and for Valentine’s Day I wanted to give my fiance something practical that would represent all of the adventures we will be taking in our new life together. We love traveling and are currently in the process of planning our honeymoon to Switzerland!

After a few minutes of scrolling through the Col. Littleton website, I knew I had found the perfect gift. I bought the No. 27 Pocket Journal to use as a passport holder. (Of course I had to get one for myself too!) I plan to use the notepads to jot down the highlights of our honeymoon so that we can read over them later and reminisce on our adventures together!

I love that I was able to personalize them with our initials and make the gift even more special.” – D.D.

"It's the Thought that Counts" is More than Just an Old Adage

Sometimes less is more. From wallets and key rings to dresser caddies and leather-cased cologne, we have an array of leather goods that will make stellar surprises! Here’s your guide to Valentine’s Day gifts under $100.

Leather Gifts as Timeless as Your Love

Our leather, much like true love, is known for its ability to withstand the test of time. Just as your relationship won’t look the same 10 years from now, neither will your leather duffle bag. We believe age is a beautiful thing in both love and leather. Every spontaneous weekend excursion you and your loved one embark upon will bring lasting memories and growth in your relationship. Your duffle bag is sure to develop some additional character along the way, too.

When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, American vegetable-tanned steer hide or American Buffalo that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way Colonel sees it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

When you buy a leather product, if you can’t easily scratch it and leave a mark, you can be sure the leather has been coated or has an applied finish. You can also be sure that it will not grow old gracefully or develop character and beauty over the years.

“When I select a product from our line to use personally, I always search for the one with the most character marks… then I twist it and beat it up a little before I use it. I know I will like it even better after a few years of wear.” – Colonel Littleton

Make a Truly Memorable Impression with American Alligator

No. 1 Grip Travel Duffel Bag in Vintage Brown American Alligator - serial number 010 - Front view with luggage tag
No. 1 Grip - American Alligator

People often ask me what I do, and I sometimes say, “I’m in the romance business.” The No. 1 Grip in American Alligator perfectly illustrates that point. The romance associated with American Alligator is legendary and I can tell you for a fact that it’s easy to fall in love with the timeless elegance of this bag.

American Alligator bags have always been considered luxury items. Over the years, I have haunted antique shops around the country in search of vintage alligator bags made by superior craftsmen in the late 1800s/early 1900s. I can tell you they are few and far between and costly when you’re lucky enough to stumble across a viable one.

A bag like this doesn’t just roll off some assembly line. It is planned and orchestrated to the smallest detail. Due to the nature of alligator, there’s usually a lot of scrap left over when making a product. It took the premium cuts of three hides to make this bag.
