There’s nothing like the smell of new leather to add to the ambiance of your office at work or at home. Colonel has made this handsome desk pad in deep, rich, full-grain, wonderfully textured Tobacco Brown American Buffalo and trimmed it in our traditional Vintage Brown American Steerhide to give it a nice contrast in color and a good sense of design.
The side you don’t see is also quite nice, as Colonel has lined it in our full-grain American leather. Add a touch of distinction by having your desk pad engraved with three initials on the oval, solid brass plate. Dimensions are 18” (H) x 24” (W) x ⅜” (D). It comes packaged in a protective cotton canvas, drawstring dust bag with the Col. Littleton Cameo Logo.

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. My wife bought me an amazing antique writing desk as a present for my retirement and I wanted a desk pad that met the same standard. Searched and searched until I found this one. It was perfect! The look, the workmanship, the quality; all hit the spot. It is definitely an heirloom to match the desk. The pad is very easy to write on / sign documents on without needing any extra firm layer below your document. That was my only worry at all and it was a non-issue. The leather is plenty firm and does not effect the trajectory of your pen at all. And it looks fantastic on a large wooden desk. Really breaks it up in an artistic way. I highly recommend this desk pad.
