This wallet, the no 1 was my very first purchase from Col Littleton. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I just know I like compact simple wallets that fit in my front pocket. I have never owned anything alligator so I thought I would treat myself. I treated myself so well, I haven’t even used it yet. I mean how can I? It’s superb craftsmanship and very durable, yet soft. Will I use it, eventually. I love the look, the feel, it easily accommodates plenty of cards and bills. I think even more than the front pocket wallet, which I am currently using. Order this wallet for yourself, and you will see what I mean by difficult to use. It almost needs a special occasion! Oh, and by the way…if it’s your first time ordering, prepare to be surprised! I have never experienced such high attention to detail…it’s fun!

Made in USA is a strong selling point, but anything made by Colonel Littleton practically sells itself anyways. Even these little key rings are really something made to last a long useful life, and look good too. I was searching for an American made leather handbag as a birthday gift to myself when I found the Colonel Littleton website. After debating between the No. 9 tote and the Wayfarer, I chose the Wayfarer due to its slightly smaller size. It was a better fit for me for an everyday bag. I used a different brand of leather folder for a long time however I just received this as a gift and I LOVE it! It’s the perfect size, the leather is gorgeous and soft to the touch. I’m a Col. Littleton convert and wont look anywhere else for my leather goods going forward.

One of the reasons I purchased the briefcase was as a heritage gift for my son or daughter. I wanted a briefcase able to withstand the rigors of my usage, mature gracefully, and then be a briefcase I could hand down. For me, the briefcase is perfect. It is functional, beautiful, and the construction is immaculate. My experience with the other Colonel Littleton products I own leave no doubt regarding longevity of this briefcase.

There are many briefcases available in the same price range as the No. 41 Commander, but none with quintessential Americana I was looking for. I think it is an outstanding value.
